Buda Castle

High above the river Danube, on the top of Castle Hill sits this beatuful palace complex, once the home of Hungarian Kings. It was originally built in 1265. Inside the Castle you can visit function rooms, office of the Archduke and bedrooms. You can see out across Budapest in all directions from the Castle walls.


The Buda old town is situated next to the castle. The old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can also visit the Matthias Church while on top of Buda Castle hill.

The Fisherman's Bastion

The Fisherman's Bastion was built in the 19th century. There are 7 turrets which represent the 7 founding tribes of Hungary. The Guild of the Fishermen use to protect the area which is where its' name originates from. Walk along the walls and take in the view across the river Danube to the Parliament and Pest side of the city.


Many people stop here for a coffee on the terrace and a selfie. The architecture and view come together to create the perfect backdrop for a special occasion.

Budapest Zoo

Budapest Zoo is tucked away within the Botanical gardens. It's one of the oldest zoos in Europe. Many of the buildings have been restored with their original Romantic architecture.


Bring your family to see tropical world, giant butterflies and a sea life show. Then Climb the stairs to the top of Castle Rock and you'll get another unique view of the big mammals and city rooftops. The zoo has recently developed it's children's play area complete with ride on miniature railway!
